All of the current JD 1025r on-line literature says the 1025's come with a toolbox and mounting hardware.
My 1025r came from a dealer in Indiana, so it was a stock transfer from one dealer to another. It arrived with just the 1025r manual, none for the deck or loader. My dealer got those for me, no problem.
It also didn't come with the toolbox, so they ordered one for me at a cost of well over $150 (for a plastic toolbox!).
If I didn't have a cab, it would mount on the back of the rops.
We looked all over for the mounting location. There is no place for this toolbox.
I called JD today and explained my problem. The woman I spoke with said that this was the first time she had heard of a problem. After checking her online materials, she said she can see exactly what I was talking about and couldn't find any other toolbox for the 1025.
I asked if maybe their brochure and other materials should say '* toolbox only comes with the open operator station.' She indicated that this was a very real possibility and would pass this on to the marketing people.

Any other 1025R cab owners with a toolbox? If so, where is it mounted?

Thanks!

I mounted my tractor's factory toolbox on the front of my 3ph carry all. I have the carry all on the tractor 95% of the time anyway as it is the rear ballast. I will say, that the plastic tool box and the mounting bracket are much tougher than they look. I mounted it a little to high on the tractor side of the rear carry all and I often drop the weight of the I match on the toolbox top and it's not hurt the tool box or the bracket yet. In fact, I have done this more than a dozen times and its still as good as new.

Here is a picture of where its mounted on the rear carry all I built. It's on the front side of the carry all to not take up any space on the "busy side" of the carry all. I should have moved it more to the outside and a little lower so the center hook from the I match wouldn't drop on the box when I am lowering the 3ph when releasing the carry all. Otherwise, it works great where its located.

It is easier to access than it appears. Simply reach between the tractor and rear carry and and flip open the top of the tool box. The standard Deere mounting bracket is what I used to mount the tool box to the tractor side of the rear carry all platform...

I chose to use the rear carry all instead of the ballast box for the rear ballast and am very glad I did. The rear carry all allows me to carry a wide range of tools with me and things which I often use. Its been very handy. I am going to upgrade to the Big Tool Rack very soon as my carry all is getting "repurposed" into a completely different use. I will leave the tool box on the carry all and add another tool box to the Big Tool rack when I get it........

Here is a view of the tool box on the front of the carry all looking down on it, so you can see where the center hook on the I Match can make contact with the end of the box. Live and learn.........

>>> Ammo cans, cheap, seals well, and durable <<<.
A store here called Bi-Mart has a three-pack nested stack on sale this month for $30, a 30 Cal, inside of a 50 Cal, inside of a 50 Cal "Fatty".
Almost as well built as genuine army surplus cans, but of course, ...😕 Made in China. 😕.
