First thing I noticed today on my brand new 2032R was the steering seemed sloppy. The whole tilt mechanism has play in it. I noticed the same on a 1025R with tilt steering. My 2320 has very solid fixed steering and I use it to help get in and out of the tractor. With the play in the 2032R not only does it not give you a feeling of a solid connection to the machine, I would be hesitant to put any force on it when getting it and out of it. This topic started on a similar thread but it does not describe exactly my issue.

This video was posted in the other thread by a forum member, it is similar to what I experience, My tractor is still at the dealer so I cannot compare to it directly.

sounds like a trip to r dealer is in ur future--if u have warranty lefft on ur machine

I'd have a quick look around, might just need something tightened and a dab of Loctite added. Could save you the time and possible expense (if you have them pick it up) of the dealer looking at it.

This tractor is still at the dealers waiting for rear wheel spacers. I went there yesterday to look at the newly installed backhoe.

Ask them to pop he steering wheel cover off and check the nut as a starter. That might cause them to have to look deeper, but at least someone at the dealership would be more aware of the problem.

Is your wheel as loose as the one in the video you posted? I'm chasing steering wheel looseness on my 1025R but it is nowhere near that bad. Seeing the video actually has made me think my tractor tilt steering wheel play is almost normal.

Wow, that's really loose. I have a 1025 and it is tight. I still won't use the wheel to pull my self into the seat, so maybe it will stay that way.

This. I don't use the steering wheel on ANYTHING to climb into the seat, it ain't made for that and will get sloppy by doing so.

I just checked the play in my new X590, there is some but I would call it acceptable.

The video is of my steering wheel and I don't use the steering wheel to get on. The steering wheel in the video is my 2032r, my 1025 was the same.

And BTW the OP's tractor is brand new still at the dealer with excessive play in the steering wheel.

They are great, but when the loader is not installed, which for me is 90 percent of the time, the KBOH grab handles are off with it, and an old guy like me has to grab somewhere !

New guy here. 2032r. Same play. Thought something was loose until I see many have the same issue.

Broke mine down. Seems like the culprit is a plastic type bushing.

Wow, what a bad place for plastic. I wonder if there is an upgrade made out of metal or hard rubber or something durable. Really should be roller bearings in there.

I think I found the part # and correct diagram. But it listed a qty 2 required, looking at the diagram it does show an upper and lower. I don't remember seeing a lower but also didn't know to check. I'll update later. Items #1 in the exploded diagram.
