Hi guys

I have a 2305 with 426h, i bought it use at 394, and since then ive been trying to chase down a grinding noise when going foward.

Its worst when going hi speed, and it does it just going foward

In reverse no sound at all, if im in Hi and going slow no sound

Chnage front end fluid and no metal mesh, also change hydraulic fluid and nothing in the filter or on the magnet

Any idea

First thing I'd do is get the tractor jacked up (all 4 wheels off of the ground), and have someone turn the tires, while you listen. With the engine off and someone turning at least part of the drivetrain, you may be able to pinpoint the region. Localizing is the first step, then you can hone in on what it could be.
If you don't hear anything, then it may be within the hydro unit or driveline.

Check the splines on the 4WD driveshaft. There's no grease fitting on the splined yoke & stub shaft couplers so they run dry and eventually wear out. Your noise could be the spline coupler or shaft end "skipping" and not being fully engaged.

I usually spray some penetrating chain lube into the yoke coupler a few times per season to prevent rusting and subsequent deterioration on my front axles driveshafts.
