2510 no hydraulics. help.

Hi everyone. Have a 2510 that we pulled the front hydraulic pump to replace the input shaft seal. We only took apart what was necessary to get the shaft out to replace seal.. New O-rings added as it went back together. Topped off trans with oil and started tractor and nothing works at all. No steering, no 3 point, no loader movement. Loosened top bolt on pump thinking we needed to add oil to prime pump but, pump is full of oil. Any Ideas?

The "Head"(#31) of the pump had to be removed to replace the shaft seal.
Was the "Head" re-installed in the correct position(not upside-down)? If installed upside-down, it will not function.

Debris could have made it's way between the "Stroke Control Valve"(#43) and it's seat(#44) . This will prevent flow of the pump.

Thanks flyweight. I can confirm the head #31 is correct as we marked it before removing. I did pull the stroke valve #43 from the bottom and cleaned however was unable to get the seat #44 out with pump installed. I guess the next move is to remove the pump to get the seat #44 out. :cautious:
No need to remove the seat if you find no debris on it. Reinstall the valve and test.

Is the pump shaft rotating?

Welcome to GTT
Did you reinstall stroke control adjusting screw(key 41) to previous depth? Does your tractors pump have the optional destroking screw(key 6)?
Valve cleaned and reinstalled (no obvious debris) shaft is turning with coupler. No change. The stroke valve adjusting screw was never touched, just removed the bigger nut #39. Also I will have to pull the pump to see the top (key 6) but only recall two flat caps on top of the pump.
Destroking screw if present should be visible between radiator/fuel tank viewed by opening LH side screen
Checked and no destroking screw as seen in key6
Well still baffled. Removed pump again. Took head back off verified everything looked good. Removed cleaned ALL parts in head. No debris found. Feed line and pump was full of oil but didn't appear that any oil had gone out into the discharge side. Is there another check valve on the tractor that would prevent oil from leaving pump?

Have you checked to be sure trans pump is supplying oil to frt pump? No check that I can think of to stop oil from leaving frt pump if stroke control is functioning correctly. Do you have valve parts encircled in green circle installed correctly???

Haha the valves you circled in green is one thing we doubled checked when we had the pump back out thinking did we install those backwards!? They are correct. Is there a easy way to check the trans pump?
Not the most accurate but easiest is remove hyd filter cover place clean container underneath rotate engine crankshaft 15 second then measure oil in bucket. there should be 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 gallons. If hyd's were operating before frt hyd was R&R then trans pomp should be fine but it doesn't take long to check
