Hads LOTS of front turf tire problems on my first tractor of 9 years. NO problems with R4s the last 8 years. The R14s supposedly have a big better bite than the R4s (probably especially in turning), but I don't know how durable they are.

ya not sure I like the low profile of the front turfs which is also a big reason I wanna switch. I’d consider r4 if I can find some. You might luck out and find someone with R4's wanting to swap tires & wheels if your tires still have some meat on them. You could post a listing in the swap meet section.
That could be me. My 2520 has become basically a mowing machine for me now.
