I bought 8x 275gal storage totes My plan is with 6 to cut the top and store firewood and coal Now before i do that i wonder if i can lift them once 3/4 full Have a jd 2210 with 42 forks and now jd:munch: ballast box
275 gal storage tote -is a plastic container enclosed in wire cage siting on pallet base

Your just going to have to experiment, to many variables at play...

Two minutes with Google and it looks like each tote holds 36 cubic feet, so 3x3x4 feet, and a cubic foot of coal weighs 80-85 pounds. So a level full tote will hold 3000 pounds of coal.

I think wood would be much lighter, the larger pieces would not stack as tight.
