3010 hydraulic problem

1038 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Tx Jim
I have a 1961 3010 diesel. The power steering mostly quit and the rear remotes don't function. Brakes and rockshaft function fine. I'm guessing the valves under the dash need rebuilt or replaced as they are also leaking. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to GTT.

To begin with, the hydraulic "Standby" pressure should be checked.

3000 psi gauge and a male nipple is needed.

Plug into the quick couplers at the SCV, run tractor at ~2000 RPM and engage the SCV.
Record the pressure. Should be ~2150 psi.
