My tractor says it is time for regen . I am trying to do the park regen, I met all the criteria for it to start. I hold the button for three seconds and it does not start the regen process. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi,

Two other points about the REGEN:

1. The dash console message should have indicators that message if the tractor is actually "ready" or "not ready" for REGEN.
2. PTO has to be off, brake has to be set, transmission has to be in neutral.

Then find a nice shade tree and a cold drink because it will take some time (my 3038e takes about 20 minutes.)

Good luck!

P.S. Clean the chaff out of the engine compartment because the DPF filter gets *hot*. Don't worry about odors and smells-- mine smells like a self-cleaning oven during parts of the cycle.

Whoops!

Forgot one other point!

You have to push and hold the switch twice- in two cycles- to start a manual REGEN.
The dash indicator will message that it has started.
The switch can feel as if it is not positively "engaged" when pushing down sometimes-- at least mine does-- but it will still work.

Good luck!

Why mess with an manual regen??? I now have 536 hours on my 4066R and have always just let it do it's own thing on regens.
