The lift linkage on my tiller bent. I straightened it once. It bent again. I decided it was from loading and unloading. The tiller hits the ground and bends the linkage when the tractor starting up the ramp, or coming down for unloading. Figured a slot would help. It did.

This worked good this spring while hauling the tiller to my uncle's place about 34 miles away where we "share crop" potatoes.

Serious injury can occur milling in a drill press as it is not made for sideways pressure.

Sorry, but mine is. I just checked the manual to be sure. I wasn't really milling, just going for a similar result.

Not to mention it's a really good way to learn how to replace bearings. That said, props on the creativity and making it work for you.
