Does anyone know if JD still sells the 390 front blade. I can't find it on their site.

I have learned that the 390 also will attach to my 990. I like that better than putting a plow on my 300CX. I have been doing some digging around and there was one that sold about 6 months ago but I don't see any listed presently.

I have looked up the parts and it seems as though one can buy the parts but boy are they expensive. My guess is that you would pay 3 times what it would cost brand new!

Also attached are the parts off of JD's site.

Rob, my understanding is the 380/390 was the older non-QA version of the blade, while the model 74 or 84 is the newest version that includes the QA. I know these where available for the older 4-series, and the newer 3-series but not sure about the 790/990 models.

Kenny, the JD site shows a 380A which is compatible with the 3005/790 which is here John*Deere 380A Front Blade Snow Removal Attachment JohnDeere.com. The 84 front mounted blade described as 84 Front Mounted Blade (For 4500-4700, 4510-4710 Tractors) with a link here (you have to be logged in to JD's site) https://configurator.deere.com/servlet/com.deere.u90947.eproducts.view.servlets.ProductSelectionServlet?userAction=configureProduct&lang=en&country=US&sbu=CCE&category=cceTractors&model=84%20Front%20Mounted%20Blade%20%28For%204510%2C4610%2C4710%29&modelID=C0C0-006-002CPC25045&baseCode=&futureProduct=false does not say a whole lot and it is for the models above. If I try putting in the 84 I come up with the AF12 front blades which are for the FEL's.

I am guessing that I need to keep looking for a used 390 somewhere since it does not seem that JD makes anything anymore for the 990 apart from the AF12 for the 300CX.

84 front blade vs 390 front blade

Kenny, You have made mention of the 84 front blade. I did a little looking today on Machine finder and they have some there Used Precision Agriculture (AG) Equipment - John Deere MachineFinder They are the same on some of the other sites as well. This one in particular sounds like this would would possibly work for my 990. John Deere 84 Wheels, Tires, and Attachments - John Deere MachineFinder However this one has some broken parts on it and the knife edge looks pretty worn and I am wondering how beat it is. They reference that it has the connecting parts for 70 and 90 series CUT's and the one picture shows them and I am guessing that they are the right parts if they are truly made to work with the 990. I guess my real concern on this one is how good it is and also that the 84 will really work with my 990.

When you look at JD parts catalog the frame on the 84 is exactly the same as the 390 and the frame part numbers match up as well. It just has different connecting pieces but they look similar to the 390 as well. I was just hoping to get a confirmation on whether the 84 will truly work with my 990. I wonder if JD110 would be able to give a little help here as well.

Attached are the frames from JD parts for the 390 frame and the 84 frame.

Thanks for the help
