The thing I noticed about these booms is that they are not qh compatible. I guess that is because they tilt at a different rate when they aren't mounted with the standard spacing at the implement.

I bought this receiver hitch/weight bar as a package deal with my three point hitch for my old 425. I replaced the top link with a piece of square tube stock. It was cheap ($7), and handy. It doesn't have a great capacity, but it does have great range. Aren't the 60" MMM about 300lbs? Should be no problem for the jib pole.

I have built a short (1' to 2') telescoping lift arm that pins to the top link connection of my receiver hitch adaptor on my 3 pt.

If I were to build another lift arm of some kind, I think I would consider doing it more like the arm on a post hole digger works...........

Anyone done that on a cat 1 hitch ?

Thanks for the photos. Great job. This looks very functional, including how it can be disassembled for storage.

Do you think I could slide 2x4 tubing flat-wise over one of my artillian forks to achieve the same goal?
I don't need it to be built as heavy as yours since my 1 series wouldn't lift that much anyway. I'd like to support 100-120lb about 10ft from the loader pin...but the 10ft would mostly be upward, not so much "out in front" of the loader.

Boom pole on quick hitch

I bought mine at Tractor Supply for $129.00 & with a small modification & a bit of welding, it works fine.
Your can adjust the top link for higher lift if you need to or modify it to your needs. I tend to pull limbs & logs mostly with mine & use my bucket with "D" rings for lifting equipment to work on.
