I can answer, but are you wanting a "diverter" type or the true 3rd Function type that would tie into the PB lines?

Here is the answer to both:

Diverter type: https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-5117-A&catname=hydraulic

3rd Function type: https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=9-6136&catname=hydraulic and note you will also need 2 of the connectors and a subplate.

Acually, the Surplus Center website is down so I will answer later with links.

PS: I also moved this to the Hydraulics Forum.

They only offer the dual rear remote kit correct? I though they only offered the 3rd function on the FEL's for the newer 3x20 and 4x20's with the electro-hydraulic controls?

Hi Ken
I tried to send you a couple of private messages, however when I tried to send them, the system said I was not logged in both times. Was I doing something wrong? I have been on the road for a couple of days and did not see where the post had been moved to the Hydraulics section.
Thanks, Rick

Make sure you are clicking the "remember me" button under where you enter you username-it's kind of hidden and easily overlooked.

Thanks Kenny for the info on the solenoid valve. Could you tell me which plate and connectors I will need if I do this thing myself? I have ordered the TM for my tractor, when it gets here I will decide weather to get a kit or buy the parts myself. thanks

The plates and connectors are listed on the right side of the SC page, but here are direct links:

Question from Rick

Rick asked this in the Visitor Message by mistake:

Hi Kenny, could you tell me which line going to a 305 loader control valve is the PB line?
JDParts does not tell me that info, but the ports on the valve should be labeled. Look for one that's marked PB or BYD.

Thanks for the info. I could not tell on any of the JD info that I have. I'm out of town this week and can't look at my valve. I guess it really doesn't matter because I ordered one of the WRL kits today. I assume it will have the info in it. Thanks for your help.

3rd Function

I just got home and looked on my valve, but I could not find any marking to tell me which line was the PB line. I also got my kit from WRL and all it said was to hook the PB line to my solenoid valve it did not say which line on the 305 fel was the PB line. Does anyone know which line is the PB line on a 305 fel valve?

I will try to post some photos if I can figure out how. Its 35 miles to the JD dealer from here, but I may ride over there tomorrow. I called WRL today, but they said I needed to talk with Nelson, but he was out. Maybe I can get him tomorrow. THANKS for your help. I wish JD had more useful info in their TM, but it didn't any at on their hydraulic system. Its not like the old days when everything was shown. My valve looks just like the one you posted earlier. Only problem is nothing is labeled. In the 305 manual the cylinder lines are labeled, but not the lines going back to the tractor.

Hi Kenny, I just talked to Nelson. He said the line in the center of the three metal lines was the PB line. This would be the line on the left side of the valve if you were siting on the tractor. He said that many of the JD dealers did not know this, and it was a common problem due to the fact that it was not in any JD literature. Thanks for your help. Maybe this will help someone else in the future.

Good info Rick, Nelson is great people for sure. If you can still us some pictures (before, during, and after the install) I am sure this info will help others in the future.
