On my tractor, I have noticed that when the 400cx FEL is raised and bucket is moved to the fully dumped position the two case iron EFL side arms pull in a bit. Is this normal.

Yes, I believe that is normal. That is my one complaint about the mechanical self leveling on the 400cx. You can bind the system by having the bucket all the way down and lifting. You can hear it and somewhat feel it in the tractor. I would not let just anyone use my loader because you have to be conscious of the fact that you cannot have the bucket in just any position and lift the arms all the way up.
