Hey on the injection pump road side of the eng, is leaking or should I say driping aroung where the throttle rod hooks up.

can this be removed without things flying all over?
Looks like a little adjustment screw on the end,then a small housing and into the lever that the rod hooks to. this has two arms conected by a spring that moves backwards and forwards.

tryed to snug the fittings up but pretty tight. looks as if it has a gasket problem. any helpfull advise would be great!

I would figure out who makes the pump (maybe Bosch or Stanadyne) and then consult a local diesel shop for advice.

If you're stating it leaks from the Throttle Shaft(#14), with the pump installed on the engine, there is not enough room the completely remove the throttle shaft, to replace the felt washer(#2) and o-ring(#3).



The photo below shows what your pump looks like inside, with the throttle housing cover removed
