Quite the upgrade from the Internationap 240A that I’ve been running for 45 years. I got the 3rd, 4th and 5th SCV‘s, plus top and tilt.

Question - am I correct in assuming that these two switches control continuous flow to the 3rd and 5th functions?

One possible problem I noticed is that the FEL doesn’t have the power to lift the front tires. I can put the bucket on the ground and lift the front end easily by rotating the bucket, but not directly by lowering the bucket. Is that normal?

Thanks for any tips!

@CMcC Did you have it in gear or neutral when you tried to lift the front end with the loader? I have a 3039R eHydro and when in gear it will not lift the front end, if it put it in neutral or slightly push the forward pedal it will lift the front end.

Congrats on the new tractor, if I could ever justify a new LCUT it would be a 4-series. Which one would depend on the price difference between the HP ratings, haha.
That's surprising about the loader, the model 75 loader on my 1050 is rated for (much?) Lower lift capacity but will lift the front end of the tractor easily. They are pretty close in weight.
Maybe they intentionally changed the geometry of the loader for less downforce and more lift??

Congrats on the new rig. 4066R (y) (y)

My 3320 / 300CX won't lift the front end either unless I roll the bucket forward. Safety first I guess..........(n)

Yup. The 75 loader I had on my old 950 4WD would lift that front end right up as well. Same with the 80 loader on my 1070. The #8 & #10 backhoes would both lift and swing the rear of the tractors as well. Real beasts! I think the safety police got involved and turned down the hydraulic relief pressure.

I'd love to find a #8 backhoe for my 1050...keep looking but they seem few and far between.

Congrats on the new machine! Your manual should explain the function of those controls, or if that's something the dealer added (if so, nice switches, they appear to be Carling brand) then your dealer should be able to tell you. A quick email to your salesman with that same photo attached should do the trick.

You’re correct as far as continuous flow.

In regards to the loader….I’m not sure; never tried it.

Yep, that’s exactly what I was thinking as well.

Don‘t tell the safety police, but I just changed my front tires that way a few weeks ago. 😝 lol

Are you sure it's just not at the end of cylinder travel? I noticed the loader doesn't have deep digging travel, kinda sucks if you want a level bucket below grade. Huge oversight. Or the easier work around is a different bucket. Mine came with a non john deere bucket and I noticed this immediately, presumed it was the bucket, pretty sure now it's the loader designed that way. I'd take 4 inches off the top of the range to put on the bottom any day of the week

It was not specified as to whether the loader was JDQA or SSQA. I have the SSQA and the loader will not drop down below the ground level when flat. You must dump the bucket some, then you will have enough to allow movement below ground level. It is not a power issue at all.

Congrats on the new machine! How long did it take from order date to delivery date. I am looking into ordering one also, but dealer said maybe it would be here in January.
It took quite a bit of research but I finally got lucky. My local dealer had one come in to another of their stores. I was being told the same - 3 months maybe, likely longer. I hadn’t ordered one yet for that reason. It came in a few days after I found out about it, was transferred here a week later, and then I waited a month for the options to be ordered & installed.

Mine’s a JDQA.
