Decided to pull the trigger and trade my 4044M in on a 4066R. Dealer gave me a good price on both the new tractor and trade for my old one. I did have to switch to a different location of the same dealer to get a decent deal, but I did have a good experience with the new location and it is closer to my house also.

Accessories ordered with the tractor are:

- 3rd function for grapple
- 4th/5th SCV's for rear implements
- Deluxe brush guard
- 1 set rear wheel weights
- Filled rear tires (on arrival)
- Frontier BB4278 Box Blade w/ hyd scarifiers

I added the wheel weights in addition to the filled tires. While I had no traction issues with the 4044M and filled rear tires, I feel like the extra HP of the 4066 would benefit from the wheel weights. I see most of the 4066R owners on YouTube have done this to their tractors with no issues or regrets.

I ordered the non-self leveling loader as I do much more work with material than with pallet forks. I figured the rollback would be more beneficial than self-leveling and the small increase in capacity of that loader.

I have a few jobs lined up after the tractor arrives. I have to backfill the driveway (poured concrete on gravel base) and I have to move some box blinds and repair the roads on our hunting lease. All in all, a good mix of loader work and rear implement use.

I'll report back my comparisons between the 4044M and the 4066R, especially as it relates to performance and fuel economy. Deal should be done by 9/28 or so. Dealer has all the accessories, just waiting on the tractor to transfer from another location in N. VA.

Congratulations. I’ve never had a new tractor. Mine have always been new to me tractors. Have fun and be safe.
