425 number 1 is shutting down once it gets warmed up. Once you let it cool back down it fires right back up again. Already replaced the TDM with a new one.
I tried spraying a shot of ether into the carb after it died and it did nothing. So I’m assuming once it gets to operating temp I’m losing spark. Any ideas?
Other than that it’s finally an operational tractor. So close, so close 😫

Ok after it shuts down I’m getting spark still. A shot of ether will make it fire over for a second.
I have swapped the fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, swapped another carb onto it. I’m running out of ideas. It’s almost to the point of not making sense.

Fuel Shut off Solenoid? Maybe it is failing when hot or it is loosing power when hot. Maybe connect a light or meter across the terminals and see what happens when it quits.

Turned out to be the carburetor vent solenoid. If I unplug the vent hose at the top of the carb it runs perfect, and stays running. Too many electric doodads on these things…..
