I am thinking of build my own rear concrete ballast. If the lifting capacities of my 4520 CUT are as follows, what would you suggest the rear ballast weigh?

Rear lift (at ends):3,130 lbs
Rear lift (at 24"/610mm):2,500 lbs

FEL Lift to full height (at pin):2368 lbs
FEL Lift to full height (at 500mm):1742 lbs
FEL Lift to 1.5m (at pin):2634 lbs
FEL Lift to 1.5m (at 500mm):2181 lbs

I may or may not add ballast in my rear tires so assume the rear tires are not filled.

I'm think of making the concrete to weigh in somewhere around 1,700 -2,000 lbs range . That would be a concrete block with dimensions of approximately 2'x3'x3'.

I have about 1100 lbs in my ballast box, and it does the trick, but a little more wouldn’t hurt. I also have 220 pounds of steel wheel weights on each side.
