I did have a search but couldnt find the answer.

What, if any, substitutes exist for life expired cutting decks for the 455?

My one has has a few weld repairs and ideally I would prefer to start afresh with a new deck than conduct surgery on one that's already past its best.

Can you retrofit Accel Deep decks?

Do JD still make the deck itself for a direct replacement?

Im happy to transfer over the gearbox, bearings etc, I just need a fresh Deck.

I think the stamping itself, bare is in excess of $4500 if you. find one. Start haunting craigslist etc.

I have a 48" deck from a 425 I picked up when I could not find any 54" decks as my 54" deck is beat. I just found a 54" deck so I no longer need the 48" Deck. I am located in Northern Michigan if you are interested. The 48" deck has the power flow unit on, but there are no other bagger parts. I have removed some of the gauge wheels as my wheels wore out on my 54" deck.
