I had the 47" blower on my 749 aws and it worked well. The only problem was it was too narrow as it only came to the edge of my tires. I traded it in on a 54" blower which solved this problem. It appears to be slightly heavier compared to the 47".

All the 47's are the same. Maybe the dealer told him it was "Heavy Duty" so he could charge him more:lol:

My 47" blower I bought with my old 2320 and it came with 2 drift knives and the thicker side plates. Could this be what he is thinking? Also I bought it in 2007.

The two driftcutter thing seems to be a cost cuting measure from JD. And there are "sideplates" that are sold for the 47" blowers that are supposed to be installed if it's sold with the 2520's IIRC.
