Bought a used 47 inch blower for my X540. Also a used soft enclosure. Both are like new. Blower never used but DOM 2016. Put it all together. BUT handle for chute control seems too short. When I turn it hits the frame of the enclosure. Enclosure has a bump out that looks like is for a handle to be turned on maybe a longer handle. Anybody know if there are different lengths of rod? I think mine is too short. I’d buy a longer one if one is available. No luck searching the web. Or wonder if there is a way to lengthen this one so that I can turn it without striking the frame. Thanks in advance.

My old NH, had a manual turn for the shoot. It was 2 pieces that fit one inside the other and was pined with a pin like for a 3 pt hitch. Is this one 2 piece? If so you most likely could find tubing that would fit one over the other and just pin it that way to extend it. Would definately be cheaper than anything that is factory green painted.

Yes rod is a one piece.
You might be able to cut the rod and insert an extension sleeve. All you need is a sleeve that fits over the rod. It can be secured with set screws or of you can drill through both the rod and sleeve you can secure it with a cotter pin.

Obviously you could also cut the rod and weld in an extension if you have the means.

I have an OTC enclosure and the 47" snowblower. In the OTC kit there is a metal bar with 2 holes in it that move the
snowblower handle closer to the tractor so it doesn't hit the enclosure. They have a youtube video of an OTC install
that shows how it works.
