I picked a used 4710 and just replaced the radiator as the old one was leaking. I see on left side of the thermostat housing the coolant temp sensor for the instrument cluser. On the right side it looks like another coolant temp sensor, but the wire has been broken (see pic). Can anyone help me identify this and what it's supposed to go to? Just recently the tractor started blowing Fuse #5. When it blows and the fuse is replaced the fuse blows immediately once the key is switched to the on position. However, if allowed to sit then the new fuse is fine and the tractor starts. I was curious if this unidentifed wire could have anything to do with it and whether or not it is some how related to the fuel solenoid relay.

Thanks in advance.

From speaking with service rep at local JD it appears it is an aftermarket temp sensor. The parts diagram shows a plug there instead of coolant temp sensor. Also looking at the teflon tape that doesn't appear to from the factory. The theory is that a previous owner may have added a secondary temp gauge instead of paying to have the cluster replaced.
