Welcome to the forum! Assuming you have the open station tractor. The fender is as easy as removing all the bolts. You probably have a broken roll pin in the shift lever ball. If you remove the plastic cover around the shifter, you can access the four bolts holding the quadrant #6B. The lever then will lift out. Roll pin #5 is what you probably need.

I just had same issue, I corrected the roll pin issue but now I cannot get the shifter back in to allow me to put in park

Do you have the new roll pin aligned with the slot in the shift housing? Or possibly the roll pin is too long to drop in properly? Also the shift lever lower end needs to align with internal lever. Shine a flashlight into the hole to see where it is to know where to aim for.
