I have a camp road and a 300’ driveway at my home. Lot’s of BIG potholes this year. I thought a York rake but now I’m told I need something that will basically till the area then flatten or grade. Naturally I’m broke but what would you all recommend? Box Blade, rake, rear blade,

Or, point me to where this topic has already been covered here.

Thank you

A box blade is usually the best implement for that sort of thing. It has scarifiers to dig in and allows you to move dirt from the high spots to low spots. Of the 3 implements you list, I'd put them in order from most preferred to least preferred:

Box Blade
Rear Blade
Landscape rake.

The rake is, IMO, most useful on something like a gravel driveway where you have loose material at the surface.

When money is tight,, the "unitasker" for a driveway is the box blade,,

I quit using the box blade, when I built a landplane,,
IMHO, the landplane is a driveway repair monster,, capable of doing it all as far as repairs,,

BUT, you can barely get an entry level landplane for 2X the cost of a box blade,,, :dunno:
