I had to replace my plow skids today after only using the plow four times. My driveway is 2/10 mile long and gravel. Seems quick for them to wear out. Anyone else have this problem or advice?

My dealer has ordered heavy duty skids for me to look at, but at $53 apiece, looking is all that I may do.

Seems to me they should last longer than that. Just weld a piece of 1/2" thick stock to the bottom of the shoe and you'll be all set, make it about 2" wide.

Thought mine were to small and had a neighbor make some new ones that were wider and thicker. Here's a link to what they look like.
He charged me $30.00 for two sets.
