60D mower deck cut problems

741 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  etcallhome
I have just started using my 60D mower deck on my 1025R and my center blade seems to cut deeper and the other 2 cut at varied heights depending on how level the yard is. I have measured everything on the deck. It is good. I got an idea and dropped the anti scalp wheels where the mower deck rides on the wheels and it cuts smooth all the way across the deck. Is this deck supposed to ride on the deck wheels??

If just tighten the front yokes evenly until you like the result

Thank you for your response. I have already adjusted those evenly and made sure of about 1/4 inch free play when deck is down.
If you look below, under “Recommended Reading” you will find links to all the other times this sort of question has been asked. If you read and follow the links that will continue to refresh as you go from thread to thread, you will probably see dozens, if not hundreds, of pertinent responses.

If you think you have a unique problem, post what you have already done to try to fix it. It wastes the time of someone to compose a suggestion, only to get a “already done that” response from the OP.

When I had the 60" deck after months of the shop foreman , other mechanics from my JD dealer and myself working and adjusting , that is the only solution I could come up with.
Finally I traded in the 1026 and 60" mower and have my present 1025 w/54" deck. Happy again mowing my back yard.
