I guess my question would be... At what point does a plow become to big for a 500 or 700 series tractor to handle? This would include the ability to push, and excessive wear and tear on the tractor. :dunno:

I purchased the 54 front blade and it is ridiculously small for the 2520, I am very interested in this except for the price. It does seem expensive for a replacement blade and a metal bracket, it comes to about $1450 with shipping. The whole 54 blade with hydraulic lift and angle comes to about $1400 retail according to the build your own at the JD site. I believe that $500 would be a better price.

Yep, that 72" plow would be great on a subcompact like your 2520. Way to big for a 500 or 700 series garden tractor in my mind... but what the heck do I know?

I agree on the price of that plow... a little steep.

Hey Darrell, are you seriously considering it?
Hey Randy. Not at this time. More just posted for others information. I currently have the 54 snowblower up front. I have seen posts that people find the 54 blade too small. This seems a better size for the 1 & 2000 series.
