hey guys, new here so I hope i'm posting this in the right place. I have tried to find the answer to this on another forum with no luck. What is happening is when I push the main boom down to the ground to swing the hoe over a few feet, I noticed once pressure hits the boom and it starts to lift the hoe, it gets weak and sinks for a second, then like a void is filled it lifts the hoe and i can side shift it, but before it sideshifts it has that same pause and sink as if filling a void with the side movement. It does have a decent leak on the " valve body" where the plungers from the control sticks go in. I checked the oil, plenty of that. Also the curl on the bucket seems to not have much power. A mechanic suggested the inside ram seels need re-done. could it also be just needs new filters? No one knows when the filters have been replaced. The loader bucket works fine, except for it is slow. Even when I rev the engine it doesn't make much difference. I need to do some digging in a few weeks hope to get this fixed.

You should, certainly, change your filters and check/clean the suction strainer. If it's in the budget, new oil would be a good idea. Unless the leak is bad enough that the oil is constantly renewed.

Yeah, new oil and filters would be a good start like Kevin wrote, but probably won't cure your problem. I am suspecting the cylinder seals are leaking internally a little. A few simple but messy tests can be performed to verify.

I guess I was a little short on that post. Kenny is correct. The filters and screen are just to make sure everything on the suction/low side are clear. You, likely, have some leakage in the bucket cylinders or valve. If the new filter does not increase your speed, you will have some diagnostic work ahead of you. The crew here can walk you through it.:good2:
