I have an 870, 400 hrs, about 11 years old. This weekend I was letting my son use it to drag some limbs from a tree we just dropped. Parking brake was set, and he popped the clutch while in gear. Heard a knocking from the back, now it won't move forward or reverse.

Any ideas?

Does the engine lug/strain at all while trying to move? If not maybe something to do with the clutch?

No, not at all. clutch seems to be fine. So I am thinking something between the clutch and rear end?
