955 w/loader and snow blade

New to the forum and thanks for all the great JD info you guys are putting out there. Just bought a 955 with cab and loader from a finance company whose main use will be moving snow for me.

Am presently building a frame which will replace just the bucket and to which a 7' snow blade with angle cyl 's will mount. I don't think I can j just move the hoses that tilt the bucket to the 2 cyl's that angle the blade as I think they work a bit differently.

Anyone point me (or inform me) to how this can be done? Much thanks

Welcome to Deere Talk and congratulations on your tractor purchase!

I am under the impression that the two angle cylinders can be plumbed to your bucket roll circuit. I have not done this myself. I believe that you consider the two cylinders, and a hose that connects between them, as a unit which is equivalent to a double-acting cylinder. Hopefully, someone who has done this setup can give you the details.
Welcome to DT!

You will need to either add a entire new hydraulic circuit, or add a "electric diverter" the will "divert" the flow from the dump/curl circuit momentarily while a button is pressed.

Here are a couple threads to read:

Dennis is correct that the system will see the two SA (single acting) cylinders as one DA (dual acting) cylinder, but you will need the dump/curl circuit to control the angle (up/down) of the blade, you cannot assume the cylinders will hold the weight of the blade if you disconnect them.
Already stuck on the jargon:

SCV and QD's PLEASE ??

Shut off valves would work, but that is inconvenient and not sexy at all. What you need is a electric diverter like this: 9-7852. You can even stack two or three together to effectively "split" your SCV 2 or 3 ways. A guy (Hanson???) over on TBN just did 2 together, added QD's directly to the diverter valve and it came out very sexy looking.

Here is a complete list of common abreviations: http://www.greentractortalk.com/for...eviations-Acronym-s-Used-in-the-Tractor-World

SCV=Selective Control Valve
QD=Quick Disconnect
Great, perfect, thanks for the link!

Kenny, is it clear to you that I am ONLY looking to angle the plow left and right with these existing plow cyl's? The bracket I am building will hold the weight of the blade. Just hoping to somehow transfer the (now) old curl function to a left and right function. Thanks

It is VERY clear to me. I even made one years ago myself but have since sold it. Doesn't change the fact that you will either need to add a new circuit, or "divert" the dump/curl circuit.
