Hi all. I recently acquired a John Deer No. 1 sickle mower that is in excellent shape. It is complete and is green with yellow wheels with yellow lettering on the body where the model and name are displayed.

Can anyone fill me in on the value and rarity of this unit?

Thank you.

The oldest one that I am familiar with is the number 4. I never heard of a number 1, but I would like to see some pictures. I have no idea about the value.

I'll get some pictures and post them. It's a No 1 and I know it's rare. I've done some research online but was hoping that someone here would be familiar.

You're welcome. Any idea on how rare this No 1 is when it comes to JD sickle mowers. Most people ell me they have never seen a No 1 and are more familiar with a No 3 or 4.

Can't say I had even heard of a No. 1 til this post. Very familiar with the 5, 10, 50, and 450.
