any infro on the x590
Yes, lots of info on the JD site. The operators manual and parts book are available on-line.

Basically a replacement for the discontinued X540 which amounts to a X530 with an air-cooled fuel injected engine.

Not according to the operators manual and parts list. It's basically a X530 with an EFI engine and high back seat.

Check it out here...

Shane with Mutton Power here. The X590 will be replacing the x540. Over the x530 it will have a higher back seat, and fuel injection. I'm pretty excited. I got so sick as a dealer of failed water pumps on the x540, that I stopped stocking them 2 years ago. Glad to see this being addressed

With the fuel injection the x590 comes pretty close to the x730... apart from the 3 point hitch I don't really know why you wouldn't go with a cheeper x590 :boredom:

Are we talking about the same X590? The X730 and the X590 aren't even in the same ball park. X590: $7599 (est) X730: $10,599

The X590 is your basic air-cooled, belt-driven lawn mower/garden tractor whereas the X700-series are liquid cooled and shaft drive.

Don't get me wrong, I love my X500 but throwing in an EFI KAW engine doesn't quite get you into X700 territory.

I guess you have never seen an X5xx machine beside of an X7xx unit. They are not even close to the same.

I just realized the poster who made the X590 comment may have been confusing it with the old X5xx series which were nearly identical to the current x700 series.

JD really introduced a lot of style/numbering confusion factor when they renamed the old X5xx-series to X7xx and then turned around and came out with a new X5xx line that was closer in comparison to the x3xx lawn tractors.

X590

Well after reading about the JD X590 pulled the plug and bought one. So far I am quite impressed with it. I have owned a X540, X748, a 1026r. Finally have my herd in order{ I think} I Live on about 20 acres so I was trying to get the right combo. On the farm is a 1998 JD 1070 for the bigger stuff. I now own the 2014 1025r Tbl with H120 and backhoe No mid mount mower which is why I got the X590. It is quieter than the X540 and mows great. I am impressed with the starting of it and the engaging the pto No hesitation whatsoever and does not matter about throttle position. Will keep you updated as I use it. Only 3.5 hours so far . I mow about 1.5 acres with it. Goes right up hills no problems.

Thanks for the update and thoughts on the X590. Sounds like you have a nice group of machines, enjoy!
