Forgive the possibly dumb question from a new guy. I inherited some wooded land that hasn't been well cared for and I'm discovering tractors in my 50s.

I have a 2038R and would like to use an Artillian grapple (rake-grapple-rake). After watching a few Artillian diverter valve installation videos, I've decided I'd rather fork over to JD and get their (new) 3rd function kit installed by the dealer rather than do the Artillian install.

But will the Artillian grapple work with the JD 3rd function kit?

Yes, that is no issue.

You might want to check out the WRLong 3rd function kit. It was very easy to install. I think Homestead Joe has a video on installing his. I got my from Everything Attachments around 675$

What did you end up doing? I got new 2038r with JD and when I received my Artillian grapple now I realize they have male/male connections JD installed male/female quick connections. Ugh!

Just swap out the fitting.
