Rule #1 with sprayers whether it be electric, PTO or airblast, make sure it is running/working before loading chemicals.
Make sure the connections are good. With water in the tank And tractor engine running so you have full voltage, turn on the pump with valve set to the spray wand and recirculate. Rap on the pump with a wrench. When mine sticks, that fixes it. Be sure to fully rinse the tank and run the pump to clean spray nozzles, spray wand, and recirculation line. rinse tank and flush the systems three times. Get pump rinse fluid at Tractor Supply for the final rinse. So, when I bought my 1025R last January, one of the attachments I purchased was the 45gal sprayer that attaches to the 3pt hitch. I've used it twice, and love it, however, this week I loaded it up to spray and the pump wouldn't turn on. I checked that power was getting through the on/off rocker switch to the pump, which it was. (About 5v) So, I'm assuming it was a bad pump.
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm probably going to haul it to the dealer since it is barely 6 months old. Is this a common problem? If so, I'll probably buy an extra pump to keep on hand in the future.
Biggest lesson learned here was to test your pump before you fill up your sprayer. Not fun having to off-load 45 gal of pesticide mixture and apply it with a 5gal backpack sprayer. Feet hurt for 2 days.
Should have 12 volts at pump. Try to bypass rocker switch. I have replaced quite a few especially if exposed to any moisture. I changed my pumps to Remco 5500 5.3 gallons per minute they work great. They also have smaller versions. So, when I bought my 1025R last January, one of the attachments I purchased was the 45gal sprayer that attaches to the 3pt hitch.
