I like the climate down there. I live near Macomb now. A little hot in the summers but pretty decent winters. I went to college in Carbondale and my daughter just graduated from there.

A small update. My Bro in Law ( and neighbor ) sent me some pics yesterday. Looks like the framers are all done. A few windows and the doors have yet to be installed.

Used the 2038R to smooth and level some of the ruts and mud today. 1st time using a box blade and it went better than I imagined. Before

Yeah......nah
The 3D rendering has a hollow look that let you look from one end clear through to the other like a big empty space. While cool, I dont think that works as a functional house.

Its been about a month so a few more updates:
Plumbing all roughed in
The standing metal seam roof is installed
Soffits are installed
Most of the doors
And the siding started this past week!

Starting drywall and stonework on the outside. garage was the 1st thing to be drywalled. O.H. doors on hold due to a spring shortage... really!

Progress has slowed to a crawl while we are waiting on POWER to be run.... long story.
Anyway,
The stone guy is almost done and the drywall is partially taped and mudded.
