It never ceases to amaze me what the 2520 is capable of. I cut off some of the roots to get the weight down and also to allow me bring the center of the stump closer to the pivots. She barely lifted it, but she did it. I very slowly moved the stump several hundred yards down to my stump dump.

They are amazing machines :thumbup1gif: Hope you didn't dull your saw with the dirt on/in the roots.

Irene knocked this tree down earlier this year. I left about 5 feet of the trunk on the stump and pushed it back forth until I was able to break the remaining roots and then push it out of the hole. I then lopped the trunk and some of the roots off while it was above ground, so it wasn't so bad on the chain. I sharpen my own chains so it not that big a deal, I have five chains I rotate through and then when they are all dull, I resharpen all of them.

Wow that's quite a load! Very impressive!

Irene knocked a big Maple down in my yard too. I could have used a tractor like that to move that stump. Had to cut it down to the point that my ATV could drag it. :D
