I think the bearings are only considered defective if they are loose and make noise. According to JDParts I do not see a listing for the rubber covers. Also, Deere did us another favor, the bearings and cylinder are purchased as just one part. It does appear to have a cylinder seal and rebuild kit available, though this will not help you on this issue.
The 2320 is is the same. About the time the boot on mine rips I'll think about drilling a hole and adding a grease fitting (maybe).
My 1988 650 had fittings.
My dealer ordered a new kit with a grease fitting he says.
Dealer ordered wrong part :unknown:I left the tractor in hopes they speed things up. Looks like they"ll have to put a complete cylinder on just for a bushing, wonder if when it's out of warranty a person could drill and put a zerk in and maybe find a parts supply that carries just a boot???
Picked-up tractor last evening , dealer put on complete new cylinder.:yahoo:

Well I was doing some tilling last week and seen that mud and clay attached to the tire would be scraped off by the steering knuckle. Did anyone else notice this? Since I can't get my finger inbetween the tire and knuckle I thought about either making some sort of guard or buying wheel spacers (pricey). Any thoughts???

I am sorta confused. :unknown: How is your tire getting closer to the knockle? Any chance you can post a pic of your concern?
Tire not getting closer but need more space between tire and knuckle so mud doesn't scrape the boot

OK, got it, thanks. I guess I hadn't given this much thought myself. Do you really think something is necessary? I guess now that I think about it, I do have the spacers mounted.
Pic. View attachment 7102 I'm thinking that is what tore the boot the first time.
