Cab Tractor Side Mirror Cheap Alternative.

The factory side mirrors from John Deere for my 3039r with a cab are $200.00 to $220.00 and they look darn nice.

I wanted a less expensive version so that I could see if I really even like side mirrors and I found these Jeep mirrors on Amazon. 30 bucks and I only had to do a little modifying to make then functional. I had to drill an extra hole in the bracket to fit Deere's bolt pattern. I shortened to mirror arms to pull the mirrors closer to the cab. I also added a shim or bushing inside the arms to add some heft there in order to really tighten the mounting pivot to the arm and ground a small bit of the mounting plate away to clear the upper work light bracket. I also added flange bolts to fasten to the tractor and also to hold the mirror arm to the mount.

I plan to paint them with John Deere black to match the cabs "A" pillar but the slightly crinkle black finish isn't bad. I don't think they look too goofy and for 30 bucks, I can knock 'em off with a tree branch and not feel too bad, LOL
