Well, the veterans already know this trick, but for you green horns here is a tip you may want to try. It is important to keep your hydraulic system as free from dirt as you can, that is one of the reasons why Deere supplies the caps and plugs for your hose ends when disconnected. The trick I use is, when the lines are pluged in I snap the plugs and caps together. Not only does this help prevent dirt from contaminating them but, it also holds them up from dangling all over the place.
