So unless I really can't see clear, there is no way to drain the gear box on the Frontier RC2048. I had to vacuum the oil out. I lifted it up and there is no drain underneath either. The manual is silent on how to drain it. Anyway, this worked good. I had water in the oil, it must leak through the the vent plug. I'll have to keep it covered better. I'll flush it a few times until I have just oil.

I noticed it to be milky when checking it last fall but never had time to change it until now. I've run one fill through it and drained it again, it was still a little milky. It doesn't take much oil so that is good. If it dries up a little I will run it again today and flush it again. With the vacuum the oil needs to be warm to suck it out easier.

When I had it lifted up on stands earlier looking for a drain plug I thought I might pull the blades for sharpening but they looked pretty good yet considering some of the stuff I hit last year.
