Does anyone have a source for the color coded (red, yellow, blue & black) caps that will stay attached to the hydraulic ports on a 1025R when the front end loader is not hooked up? The John Deere dealer that sold me my 1025R laughingly told me that ”those caps just don’t stay put on any 1025R that I’ve sold.“

I’d like to keep the caps in place to minimize the ports from becoming covered in debris.

Thanks.

Dealer is correct. Factory caps are terrible

Something I did early on is to cut the tethers and store them in my tool box when the loader is on. I didn’t like them dangling down like that wanting to catch on something and get ripped off

I switched to these. Had read a post here on gtt that said these were the original hose plugs before JD switched to different ones. I like them. They stay in place. Very happy with them.

If the KBOH caps are a "problem" because they are all one color, KBOH also sells colored zip tie kits to color code the ports/hoses. if you look at your JD hoses they'll likely have the same color coded zip ties on them. Easy peazy!

I tried the stiff ones but returned and got these. They work well and have (so far) stayed in place well.

I bought the same caps that came on my 445 and just changed the colors on the 1026R so I can swap the Snow Blower between the two tractors and just changing the H120 loader was no problem/issue.

Mine work as intended, if they are covered in hydraulic fluid I just spray them with some brake cleaner and by the time I put the can away and come back the cleaner has evaporated and the caps go together perfectly.

I did the same as Kbar and keep the caps in the tool box when not in use. I have no issues with them staying in the tractor side when loader is not on, which is most of the time during summer.
