I'm about to order some replacement 1/4 couplers from the Ken's site. Mine won't stop leaking even with new O Rings, I think they're just shot.
Are they leaking when connected or disconnected?I'm about to order some replacement 1/4 couplers from the Ken's site. Mine won't stop leaking even with new O Rings, I think they're just shot.
As mentioned in the video and on our website, the couplers we sell will not directly replace the OEM ones.I'm about to order some replacement 1/4 couplers from the Ken's site. Mine won't stop leaking even with new O Rings, I think they're just shot.
My 1050 has typical 4xxx series Pioneer couplers, if I bought the male and female couplers wouldn't they have the same threads to attach to my valve and hoses? As mentioned in the video and on our website, the couplers we sell will not directly replace the OEM ones.
Ours have NPT threads...yours most likely has ORB threads. My 1050 has typical 4xxx series Pioneer couplers, if I bought the male and female couplers wouldn't they have the same threads to attach to my valve and hoses?
Hi Bob,Hmmm, My 314, 317, and 322 have Pioneer/Parker 40xx couplers. 4010-2P male and 4050-2P female, both of which are 1/4 NPT.
Looking at AJ's pic, I'd say he has 3/8 NPT hose male ends, a 3/8 to 1/4 male adapter attaching to the male plug. The female looks OK with 1/4NPT threads. I do see a few threads exposed on both ends, so I'm thinking NPT threads on female coupler & male plug
So, AJ, EXACTLY where are they leaking? If leaking at plug to coupler connection and new o-rings didn't help, get new couplers. If leaking at threads, not really sure, but I'd apply some pipe sealant, TIGHTEN well, and see what happens! I'm thinking Kenny's couplers will work if couplers are leaking...1/4NPT threads. Bob
Hi Tim, I probably already the answer and have forgotten. Who did your hose extensions and how long are they? With my fading strength in my hands I need to do something different. Its getting to the point that my projects are going to have to be just thoughts. .@Tractor Tim Tim and Ken go over many of the common quick-coupler issues that owners have with tractors. This is the third video in our Hydraulics 101 series.
