I'm about to order some replacement 1/4 couplers from the Ken's site. Mine won't stop leaking even with new O Rings, I think they're just shot.

Are they leaking when connected or disconnected?

As mentioned in the video and on our website, the couplers we sell will not directly replace the OEM ones.

My 1050 has typical 4xxx series Pioneer couplers, if I bought the male and female couplers wouldn't they have the same threads to attach to my valve and hoses?

Here's what I have now, Pioneer 4000-2P connectors with some kind of adapters, if I replaced them completely wouldn't that work?

Ours have NPT threads...yours most likely has ORB threads.

Ok thank you!

If I took one apart is there any way to know what thread they have? They are definitely Pioneer 1/4 couplers.

Hmmm, My 314, 317, and 322 have Pioneer/Parker 40xx couplers. 4010-2P male and 4050-2P female, both of which are 1/4 NPT.

Looking at AJ's pic, I'd say he has 3/8 NPT hose male ends, a 3/8 to 1/4 male adapter attaching to the male plug. The female looks OK with 1/4NPT threads. I do see a few threads exposed on both ends, so I'm thinking NPT threads on female coupler & male plug

So, AJ, EXACTLY where are they leaking? If leaking at plug to coupler connection and new o-rings didn't help, get new couplers. If leaking at threads, not really sure, but I'd apply some pipe sealant, TIGHTEN well, and see what happens! I'm thinking Kenny's couplers will work if couplers are leaking...1/4NPT threads. Bob

Hi Bob,

I think you know more about these couplers than I do, and I also think you're assessment is most likely spot-on. I recall my connectors were stamped 4010-2P and 4050-2P, and if you know they are 1/4 npt threads then I think you are correct that Ken's couplers would work.

Yes they are leaking where the couplers connect together. You can literally watch them drip when I have a load in the bucket haha.

I feel like I should try them and could report back to Ken if they fit. Then I'd assume they work on the rear SCVs of the 50-series SCUT's.

AJ, 110% certain they're 1/4NPT !! "Normally" leaking when connected means bad o-rings, but you changed these with no difference. You may (??) have burrs/digs/scratches in either the male or female half... or both. Start a "Discussion with Kennyd ( or here to inform others!) and he'll set you up RIGHT! One quick comment: when installing, use a paste/liquid type sealant and NOT teflon tape!

I've seen Kennyd's post here and he's a straight shooter AND an authorized vendor here! He'll get you going, leak free! Bob

Hi Tim, I probably already the answer and have forgotten. Who did your hose extensions and how long are they? With my fading strength in my hands I need to do something different. Its getting to the point that my projects are going to have to be just thoughts. .

Thanks and keep on shooting!

Hose extensions from mid to rear?

I cannot remember length…just order from there. Use code ttwt for 5% off.
Price will be competitive, and you will get the right elbows and couplers.

Got tired of mine leaking and after installing a single point, just had the dealer hard line the hoses from the single point. Leak cured.

After I see Kenny’s reply. I’m not sure I answered your question properly. If you are wanting hose extensions for only a foot or so, get Ken’s.

The ones I referenced are 6 ft or so to get to the back of the tractor.

Tim
