Recently I converted my E130 over to a regular filter and drain plug extension. Much cheaper than the $50 massive Easy Change. If anyone is interested in converting theirs to the Easy Change I’ll give you the fitting if you pay shipping. I hate to just throw it out. Thanks.

I saw this note in the conversion documentation:

"Because of differences in the oil pump to accommodate the Easy Change™ Oil System, the Easy Change oilfilter should not be installed on engines that were not equipped with the Easy Change oil filter from the factory."

Good to know. I didn’t know that. So I guess in the trash it goes. Thanks

I didn’t think anyone would want to use this on purpose anyway.
You are probably right about that.

But... DON'T THROW IT AWAY.

Put the parts on Ebay or something. I just looked it up and JD wants $106 for the EZ Change manifold and mounting bolt. Who knows, someone with an EZ Change might break their housing or something. Who knows. :)

You know, I'm not doubting JD's word or anything but I went back and looked at the parts for a D130 and it uses the same B&S 44N677 engine albeit with a different code. But... I also looked up the parts for the oil pump gear and they both use the same MIU12143 oil pump.

So... what they say might be true if you went back to an older model like a LA135 but it "looks" like the EZ Change would work on a D130 engine.
