First off I want you to understand I have very little electrical experience other than house wiring and repairs. That is how easy this was to make.
I had a 3v garage remote hanging on the side of the seat but didn't like the look. So I found a schematic for converting my 3v remote to run on the tractors 12v system. The problem was DC 12 volt systems actually run around 13.5 volts to just under twelve. So I would need to find a way to over come this voltage spike and not burn out my remote. I also wanted to mount a remote button on the dash to clean up the look. So I found this site and changed my resistors from the plans to R1 to 220 ohms and R2 to 330 ohms (and I didn't use the relay). Power source provided by a loose harness inside dash! Here is the web site I used.
