I am not sure about them...... I had them on a quad once and you can see in this video that the fronts will sometimes like to climb and tilt up when put under stress. They took away a ton of power and limited speed to about 25mph. There was one thing they were excellent at--- a conversation starter---
I saw a few machines while i was on vaca in Napa/Sonoma CA a few weeks back with tracks on the rear. None were in use, either sitting or on a trailer but my guess is they needed the tracks for traction to be able to climb some of those hills.
