Just bought a Used JD RT1150 tiller last Friday from my local JD dealer.

I checked the gearbox, drive-chain lubricant and greased the bearings. It runs well.

Was wondering what year this unit was likely produced. Am including a photo of the Tag.

Thanks.

Dosen't the cockeyed "f" indicate the newest line of the Frontier implements?

Thanks DAn.

This model (RT1150) is no longer offered New.

Instead, John Deere/Frontier now sells the RT1149, but it is not identical.

Also, this tiller is “used” and looks like it’s been around a while.

The previous owner essentially donated it (alongside with other implements) to the dealer as he had sold his local property and moved away somewhere with no land that needed management. It was the last implement of the collection remaining and it sat for 8-months before I bought it ($500).

Pretty good shape, doesn’t look as if it was used all that much, little wear on the tines, general condition, but definitely scratched up and faded a bit.

So, I don’t know if it’s a couple years old, 5-years, 10, 20, who knows? That’s why I’m asking.

Thanks Dan.

Actually, I found that same manual online over the weekend. I didn’t see a date/year on it.

Yes, time seems to pass by quicker every year; guess this could be a 2006?

Appreciate the help/info.
