Disconnected Hose on 2025R

1143 Views 10 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  KHodges
Hi All,

I was greasing the drive train zerks under the tractor today and I noticed a hose that wasn’t connected to anything. It was right next to the MFWD sleeve near the right front wheel. I didn’t see a place for the hose to connect. Anybody have an idea what that hose is for? Or if it should be connected anywhere,

A wild guess here..........could it be the battery drain tube?

It could also be the radiator coolant reservoir overflow...

If it's like my 1025, there's 3 in that area. The one behind the axle is coolant overflow. The 2 in front of the axle are battery vent and radiator petcock drain.

Thank you for the replies! Doesn’t seem like anything too concerning.

Regardless of where it is supposed to be attached, it's probably a good idea to reattach it at your earliest convenience.

It doesn’t attach to anything it is suppose to be an open line for a drain.

I must have misinterpreted the OP's original concern about a "disconnect" hose. I thought he meant both ends of the hose were disconnected and he didn't know where it went. If he was only referring to ONE disconnected end then yes, it's supposed to be that way.

That would mean I have about 3 or 4 "disconnected" hoses on my tractor. :)

That is exactly the case. Just the end under the tractor was disconnected, which I have now learned is correct. Thanks again all!

Open the hood and see where it leads.
