Thinking of diverting the runoff from the downspouts on the cabin to our pond which is perpetually low. I would have to run some sort of pipe about 150 feet through very rocky and root filled soil. I ran a couple hundred feet of water line to one of my buildings a few years ago, using a ditch witch type machine and recall that the rocks gave me hell.
Wondering if a backhoe or small excavator would do better? I've never used one so not sure whether that would fit the bill, or be harder to work?
