Where does the valve body mount? I would like to see some pics and understand what the advantage is with this setup. Can you use this for the independent deck lift?

I would like to see a pic of it installed.

Thanks

Jon, I have the 3rd selective control valve on my 1026R. I haven't used it yet. My plans were to have the valve available as I have always wanted one of the tandem axle dump trailers like King Kutter and some others offer.

It is a tight fit. There isn't much room to the right of the seat which is where the control valve handle is located. The handle can be rotated which seems to help a bit.

The only complaint I have is that the seat hits the valve. I originally thought the seat was bottoming out but it turned out to be a problem with the valve. If I move the seat ahead it doesn't hit but I like having the seat as far back as possible. John Deere is looking into the problem.

I will try to get you some pictures.

John Deere told my dealer that you cannot have Power Beyond and the 3rd SCV on the 1026R because they use the same plumbing connections. If you have a Backhoe configuration, as I understand it, you can't get the 3rd SCV.

I'd like to see a pic also. I bought the power beyond kit also, and was told the same thing about the 3rd selective valve, along with a ridiculous price tag with it. I figure I'll add my own valve when I need it. I got the hydraulics mainly for a log splitter, but just in case, also. Honestly, how hard can it be to plumb in a valve, really?

I'm going to plumb in my own two-spool valve probably this winter. I know I'll buy the PB kit for the hard lines and fittings. Maybe the mount will come in handy too. The rear hydraulic kit has the hoses and more quick disconnects I'll need for a reasonable as well.

It's a plan that's not completely set in stone yet. Maybe a few of you guys will come up with a better plan, build it, post the "how to" article, and win the Omni Transformer Hitch this month! :yahoo:

Hello everyone. I have a 1026r with the 3rd SCV, although haven't used it yet - potential for future attachments on 0% interest. My dealer initially included the power beyond kit, but later deleted it saying it was not needed. First time I've tried to figure out how to post photos - hope they work.

Can we get a pic from the seat looking back so we can see the valve handle?

Thanks, as this is exactly what i wanted to see.

:wgtt: Steve!

Thanks for posting the pics! The 3rd SCV is a rare item among 1 series tractors. A lot of us are very curious. Your Dealer said that the Power Beyond kit wasn't needed? That's interesting. Can you elaborate? :hi:

Sure would be nice to get that with the Power Beyond. But his doesn't have it and with the box turned like it is, it is very unlikely that his had the Backhoe.

Like Dieselshadow said, power beyond is more useful for expansion so you can add another spool through it. As long as there is room to put them you can keep chaining spools.

JD's website stated (or at least it used to) that the PB kit was required for the 3rd SCV kit. The catch was you couldn't use the PB. The 3rd SCV uses parts from the PB kit for installation.

The seat does not hit the lever, which can be turned in any direction by adjusting the top nut. The first photo is with the seat all the way forward; the second is all the way back. Don't know much about the power beyond (no BH), only that at first the dealer thought I needed it, but at delivery said Deere had changed things and deleted it from my invoice.

Power Beyond Kit

I also want to install a PBK Part # LVB25956 on my R. I will install my own 3 way valve later which will control my homebuilt attachments. I was hopeing to see an installation manual for one (PBK) so I can see where it connects to the hydraulic system. I found a parts break down and price list online.
Line Auto part Diagram Illustration Automotive engine part

Can anyone post the installation manual or give me an idea where it attaches.
Thanks

If I remeber correctly, the smaller line connects to a port on the joystick loader spool valves (Expansion port) and the larger line connects back into the rockshaft housing as a pressured return line. I have the tractor in the shop and I am not at home right now, but I will get some photos in the morning when I get there.
