I found while mowing that on approach and departure of steep slopes my three point was digging trenches. In fact on the steep hills as I backed down to level ground the hitch dug in and stop the tractor. My cure was to constantly be raising and lowering the mower deck and doing so I was missing some areas that I wanted mowed, what a pain.
As the three point is hydraulic up and gravity down I started with a tie down strap over the ROPS to hold the three point up, it worked but not a clean way to do it.
This bracket allows you to hold the hitch up with the hitch pin and I drilled out an existing holes in my Quick Hitch to store the pin when not in use.
The bracket is four inches wide to allow the three point to be swung to the sides if that need arises.

Two questions

A. Doesn't holding the 3PH up also hold the mower up?

B. Why not use the rockshaft lowering speed knob to lock it in the up position?

Diesel you are correct, dirtrod's method would only work if he also slotted the lift links between the rockshaft and lower three point arms. The nessecery motion of the rockshaft needs to be allowed independent movement of the lower arms. ChrisR's suggestion is a very good one, as it only takes two pins and for lynch pins to remove the lower arms. However it would be very difficult with the iMatch still attached. When I'm MMMing, I leave the position control just low enough to hit the MMM depth stop, position six for me. I don't have a ditch like dirtrod's, but I do have a lot of transitioning slopes that go un gouged by my 3pt hitch.

Not sure about a 1026r but on my 2720 what dirtrod has done would work perfectly. Well done.
The deck will still lower even though the 3pt doesn't.

I have this same problem at one point in my yard. Try to move the 3 pt up until you see your mower deck start to rise. Lower the 3 pt a little until you know your mower deck is stopped. This may give you enough 3 pt clearance.

Why not set the stop on the 3 point lever so the 3 point arms only go down enough to lower the deck to the set cutting height?

My reason for doing this was to make it easy for my wife to operate. With the seat adjusted to fit her the release lever used to adjust the seat was over the top of the knob for drop lock of the three point. She would move the seat back then get off the tractor because she found it easier to twist the knob from the side then get back on the tractor and readjust the seat. Then came the question, Honey can you come up with an easier way? This has made it is so she doesn't need to readjust the seat or get off the tractor. She can even put the pin in without getting off of the seat.
I made it so we can still offset the three point left or right if we ever needed to and dimensioned it so the pin system still works with the top link fully extended or retracted. The bracket makes the wife happy and you know the old saying.
